Search for Supranivian Arthropods: Outdoor Event

This free outdoor event is held at the Allan and Virginia McCune Nature Preserve, West Parking: 1565 Berger Road, Petoskey. What happens to all of the bugs after the temperature drops and the snow starts falling? For some species, it’s just business as usual. Join conservation technician Quinn Sommer on the hunt for supranivian arthropods (bugs that live on snow) and learn how such tiny creatures manage to survive in harsh winter conditions.
