Join us at a work session at the Emmet County Fairgrounds. This is an ongoing EMU-approved project. NMMGA was approved to create a monarch butterfly waystation on the berm at the left side of the drive before passing through the welcome sign. Members may join this work session or any of the sessions scheduled this season. Stay for part or all of the three hour block. Enter the fairgrounds from Eppler Road. Contact Linda Guthrie to confirm at 231-347-3007.
The Monarch Waystation needs plants and the link explains more about the requirements to qualify for certification. Native plants such as Anise Hyssop, Asters, Prairie phlox and Coreopsis are welcome. Consider donating any extra plants that you find in your garden. Your support is appreciated.
